Due to continued growth, we’re excited to offer a great opportunity for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as an Apprentice Fitter Machinist at our Brendale, Brisbane, QLD branch.

This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys problem-solving, and is keen to build a long-term trade career. You’ll learn from experienced tradespeople, develop practical skills in a modern workshop, and gain exposure to real manufacturing work from day one. No two days are the same, and every day is a chance to learn something new.

As an apprentice at Nordon Cylinders, you’ll be part of a close-knit and supportive team that genuinely values developing apprentices. We’ll invest in your growth through structured training, hands-on experience, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship - all within a business at the forefront of the hydraulic industry.

About you

• Keen interest in mechanical trades and hands-on work
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
• Ability to work accurately and follow instructions
• Interest in machining, fitting, or manufacturing environments
• Basic maths, measurement, and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude

Previous exposure to machining, hydraulics, or mechanical work is desirable, but not essential - we’re looking for the right attitude and commitment to learning.
